Falcon Ridge (204) 349-8935

Located in the heart of the rugged Precambrian rock of the Canadian Shield. Falcon Ridge Ski Area offers one of the finest alpine and cross-country ski centers in Manitoba. This solitary destination, only two hours from Winnipeg, offers beginner, intermediate and expert skiers 11 runs of alpine excitement. T-bars and rope tows whisk skiers to the top of a variety of lush, pine flaked slopes. There is a snowboard park, with 2 tabletops, quarter pipe and a hip and fun box. Certified ski and snowboard instruction and ski rental are available. There is also a tubing hill and cafeteria. Hours: 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and Holidays. Weather permitting will be open

Holiday Mountain (204) 242-2172

For 50 Years, downhill skiing in La Riviere has been a popular sport.  With a vertical slope of 91.5 m./300 ft. Holiday Mountain provides its skiers with chair lifts, t-bars and rope tows that lead to ten challenging runs for skiers of all abilities, who can enjoy the excitement of skiing day and night. Certified instructors are available to give lessons of all ages and abilities. Ski equipment rental and instruction is provided. (Day rentals can be used for night skiing for no additional charge.) Hours: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week, 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Night Skiing. Located: 160 km/96 mi southwest of Winnipeg

Minnedosa Ski Valley (204) 867-3509

A 548 m (1800 ft.) run, vertical rise of 75 m. (248 ft.). Double chair lift, T-bar, rope tow, and six exciting runs are all great reasons to try downhill skiing at Minnedosa's Ski Valley. Ski equipment rentals and certified instruction are available for skiers of all abilities. At the bottom of the slope, skiers can relax and dine in a cozy chalet. In addition to downhill fanatics, cross-country skiers, snow-shoers, and snowmobilers are welcome to enjoy the winter wilderness of Minnedosa Ski Valley.

Mystery Mountain (204) 778-6624

Located 20 km. north of Thompson Manitoba, Mystery Mountain Winter Park is home to facilities for alpine and Nordic skiers and snowboarders. A T-bar, 2 Poma lifts and a rope tow service 18 downhill runs that range from gentle beginner slopes to steep mogul fields and advanced tree skiing. A 300 foot half-pipe challenges all boarders. Over 20 km of cross country trials, from beginner to expert are ready for classic and skate skiing. Two warm-up cabins make for pleasant stops. Certified ski and board equipment rentals are available. Spacious chalet with food service and licensed lounge are located at the base. Ask us about our group discount rates.

Spring Hill Winter Sports Park 224-3051

Only 15 minutes from Winnipeg, north on Highway 59 at the Floodway. Any ambitious outdoor buff can downhill ski, snowboard, cross-country ski, all in the same day! Springhill Winter Park features day and night skiing, ski and snowboard rental equipment, professional ski school instruction, a restaurant, sports bar. Three runs accommodate skiers of all abilities, but are ideal for beginners. Springhill ski instructors, all members of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, are available for lessons. Hours: Tues.- Fri. 6:30 to 9:30pm.  Saturdays and Sundays 9am - 4pm.  Located 11 km/6.6 mi. north of Winnipeg (on Hwy. 59)

Stony Mountain Ski Area (204) 344-5977

Stony Mountain Ski Area is the longest-operating ski facility in the Winnipeg area, providing downhill skiing for almost 30 years. The park is equipped with groomed runs with a reputation for the best snow conditions within 10 km (6 mi.) of Winnipeg. It has a 30 m. (100 ft) vertical slope and six runs, one handle tow and one rope tow, varying in difficulty from beginner and refresher, to entertaining. The park is equipped with snow-making equipment, a certified ski school and a chalet that features rental equipment, great food and an arcade. Hours: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays,
6 p.m. - 11 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays Located: 9.6 km/6 mi. north of Winnipeg on Hwy # 7
